We ordered the destroyer escort, USS McConnell, that my dad served on in WWII. He passed at age 98 this summer. I got this to put with his flag that was presented to mom. She was so happy to get it. Purchase was a gift for my Navy Brother therefore I don't have it to show you. You did put exactly the description he wanted. Thanks. He was afraid that since that description was no longer used that it could not be put on the ship. It is the USS Constellation CVA-64.

USS Admiral William L. Capps AP-121 Was the ship that my father served on in the Pacific War.
Ie was a loader on a quad 20 millimeter Orlikon Antiaircraft gun.
Manned by United States Coast Guardsmen, my father was not designated to mess ssteward as he would have been n the Navy as he was Black. He loved his ship and hit time in service.
It is my great regret that I could not present this silhouette to jhim as he passed away 35 years ago, his legacy lives on.
